Vast improvement through innovation
and re-thinking construction methodology

Recent government reports have concluded that the construction industry is under-achieving, both in terms of meeting its own needs and those of its clients. Construction industry representatives on the Rethinking Construction Task Force also came to the same conclusion, and added that the industry should ‘seek improvement through re-engineering construction’.

Recent BSRIA and BRE studies have confirmed that as much as 40% of the manpower used on construction sites could be wasted. The challenge facing today’s house-building industry is to radically improve the quality, efficiency, sustainability and cost of the whole house-building process, from design to completion, whilst facing critical skills shortages in the short and medium term.
